We are very pleased to welcome the newest member of the WeedWise team!
The WeedWise program is pleased to announce our newest staff member Brendan Fordyce! Brendan joins our team as a WeedWise Specialist and Coordinator for the 4-County CWMA and Columbia Gorge CWMA.
This complex but rewarding position not only helps to support invasive weed management in Clackamas County but also serves as a resource for invasive weed management and coordination throughout the region.
We are very pleased to have Brendan sharing his skills and expertise with the WeedWise program. Brendan comes to us with a wealth of experience managing invasive plants with our partners at Metro as a Natural Resource Technician. Brendan has also served as a Trails Technician with the US Forest Service, where he helped to repair trails and clear fallen trees on the Mt Hood National Forest following the Riverside and Lion’s Head fires. We are excited to see how Brendan’s passion for this work will help to grow our program!
Brendan will be overseeing much of our work in the Sandy River watershed. Brendan not only works in the Sandy River watershed, but he is also a resident, and we are excited to see the positive influence he brings to this important area of Clackamas County.
Please help us welcome Brendan!
