We are celebrating another year in the books!

With the new year upon us, we want to take a moment to stop and reflect on our many accomplishments and challenges over the past year.  We have been doing a lot of reflection as we work on our end-of-year reporting and plan for the year ahead.

To celebrate our accomplishments, the WeedWise Program has prepared an annual report for the 2023-2024 fiscal year. Over the last year, the WeedWise program has:

  • Sent targeted mailings to 2414 households;
  • Provided technical assistance to 255 residents;
  • Worked with 443 landowners to implement weed projects;
  • Expended $540,642 in support of noxious weed control projects;
  • Maintained active permissions with 1791 landowners;
  • Partnering with 58 public and non-profit organizations;
  • Documented 3,796 new weed observations totaling 44 acres;
  • Completed 93 weed surveys totaling 2,030 acres;
  • Implemented 921 treatments totaling 13,782 acres;
  • Tracked 44,732 weed patches;
  • Administered 2 Cooperative Weed Management Areas;
  • Maintained the Clackamas Weed List with 222 weeds and 105 priority weeds;
