Bosques

Well-managed forests are productive, fire resistant, and home to diverse wildlife.

Forest lands make up 70% of Clackamas County

These include private land, county and state forests, and parts of Mount Hood and Willamette National Forests.

That is a lot of forest land, but not all forests are the same. We are lucky to have Douglas fir forests, hardwood forests, Oreagon white oak communities, and diverse riparian woodlands..

No matter the type, forests give us many benefits. They are homes for wildlife, provide wood for building, and are great places for people to enjoy. Forests also help clean the air and keep our water clean.

Let us help you keep your forest healthy and productive!

Make your property more wildfire-resistant

The Pacific Northwest is beautiful partly because of the green forests around our homes and communities. However, this beauty is fragile. We’ve already seen damaging wildfires and are still having unusually hot and dry weather. Take action by learning how to make your forest land, rural property, or even your backyard safer from fires!
