We are very pleased to welcome a new addition to the WeedWise team!
The WeedWise program is pleased to announce our newest staff member Hayden Jorde! Hayden joins our team as a newly developed WeedWise Technician position.
Hayden will support the WeedWise Program’s efforts managing invasive weeds across Clackamas County but will focus much of his time on protecting natural areas in the Mt Hood National Forest during post-wildfire recovery and infrastructure redevelopment.
We are excited for Hayden to share his skills with the WeedWise program. His career in natural resources has taken him all over the western United States. Hayden worked as a restoration technician across the southwestern U.S. He has also been a forestry technician for the U.S. Forest Service, where he worked on wilderness trails. In Oregon, he has worked as an educator at MESD Outdoor School, helping connect students to the natural environment around them. He has also worked as a wildland firefighter based out of Eugene, Oregon.
We are excited to see the positive impact that Hayden brings to the WeedWise program!
